In providing concrete references to such scientific studies, proponents of TM present the information in a persuasive manner which may seem to substantiate their claims to potential practitioners. In this report, research involving the use of Transcendental Meditation as an alternative therapy for alcoholism and the prevention of alcoholism will be highlighted.
